We are working harder than ever to make it as easy to possible for you to buy our delicious Grasmere Gingerbread!
Whilst the storm-damaged A591 north of the village won’t reopen until May, a shuttle bus service is now running between Keswick and Grasmere. Cyclists and pedestrians may also use the route.
Grasmere is fully accessible from the south section of the A591 (only terminating at Dunmail Raise heading north), and from Penrith via the stunning Kirkstone Pass – famously known as ‘The Struggle’ – which gives drivers great views across to Ambleside and the Lake District.
Thankfully our bakery escaped winter flooding but our warehouse in Kendal was affected, destroying our supply of Grasmere Gingerbread tins. These will be back in stock in April.
We are also running a pop-up shop at Lakeland in Windermere, open Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm and Sunday between 10.30am and 5pm.
As spring approaches we hope to welcome back friends old and new to the Lake District – arguably the most beautiful of our national parks.
And remember, if you can’t reach us, for whatever reason, we can send you delicious Grasmere Gingerbread and other delicious ginger-flavoured goodies via our fast and efficient mail order service.
Help us put the dramatic events of the winter behind us by calling in to The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop as soon as you can – you will receive a warm Cumbrian welcome!
